With state-of-the-art technology, MBS launches into the era of digitalization.

Digitalization is opening up roads to the new possibilities of high-definition TV, multi-channel broadcasting, interactive service, the Internet, and transmission to mobile terminals. In preparation for the start of terrestrial digital broadcasting scheduled in December 2003, MBS is already producing programs in digital format at MBS Studios in USJ. Digital broadcasting via satellite has also already begun. BS-i, jointly established among JNN stations, produces original high-definition and interactive programs. On the Internet, MBS website offers a variety of services, such as "MBS BB-Kenbunroku," which provides broadband contents including pay broadcast of baseball games and Internet radio.
